About Me
Chris Paige
Producer, Director and Photographer
I like to think of myself as a documentarian with the heart of a poet.
Total objectivity is impossible, but I hope that my open-mindedness and empathy shines through in my work above anything else. I don’t shy away from any subject: I’ve made films with centenarians, in prisons, with Alzheimer’s sufferers and even in a hospice. Any story with a strong emotional core interests me no matter how heavy. Since attention spans are shorter than ever I love to experiment visually and push the art form (whenever the story allows for it) to reel in more views.
The road to film has been circuitous for me. After cutting my teeth in television as a production assistant, assistant editor, production coordinator and associate producer, I settled in producing and directing digital short-form documentaries. I think my diverse background had made me a strong producer that can handle making fascinating stories anywhere from 30 seconds to feature length. Before I got into film I was a Porsche mechanic and a certified sommelier.
Filmmaking is my passion, but I also enjoy film photography, woodworking, writing short stories and competitive powerlifting.
